How much CNY cash can I carry?
Indian travellers can buy up to USD 3,000 equivalent in foreign currency notes per trip. The rest can be loaded on a forex card.

Is GST charged on buying foreign currency?
Yes, on a slab basis on the rupee value, not the full amount. For example, ₹1 lakh of currency attracts ₹180 GST. The quote shows it separately.
