How it works with us

Aabhushan Forex & Jewels Private Limited is an RBI-licensed Full Fledged Money Changer. Money changers do not send money abroad themselves, so every transfer is carried out by one of our authorised remittance partners — RBL Bank Ltd, Thomas Cook (India) Limited, Prithvi Exchange (India) Limited, EbixCash World Money Limited — or, for university fees, by the payment platform your university uses. You pay the partner directly from your own bank account; the money never passes through us, and we charge you nothing for arranging it. Using a partner's service is voluntary.

For students: fees plus a forex card

Most students pay tuition through the university's chosen platform — Flywire, CIBC, Convera — or by bank transfer, and carry a student forex card for living costs, issued through Prithvi Exchange (India) Limited (Thomas Cook forex card or ICICI Bank forex card). The card gets a better rate than notes, can be reloaded from home, and is blocked in seconds if lost. Fees from an education loan attract no TCS; fees from your own funds attract TCS only above the yearly threshold. See students abroad.

Know the total before sending

Your quote shows the exchange rate, the rupee amount, the bank's transfer charges (₹250 per transfer, plus ₹300 below USD 10,000, plus ₹1200 if you choose to pay all overseas charges), GST and any TCS. Platforms such as Flywire, CIBC, Convera show their own rate and fee on their payment page. Correspondent banks can deduct fees along the way — choose "all charges paid by sender" when the full amount must arrive, such as university fees.

Check the recipient name, account number or IBAN, SWIFT code and purpose carefully. An error can delay or return a transfer.

How a request moves forward

  1. Book online — choose the purpose, country and amount, and see the full cost.
  2. Upload documents — PAN, address proof, bank statement and purpose proof, from your phone. They are checked as you upload.
  3. Add the receiver — name, account number or IBAN, SWIFT code (or the platform's payment reference).
  4. Pay the bank — once we verify your documents, pay online by UPI, net banking or NEFT straight to the partner bank from your own account, and sign the LRS form (Form A2).
  5. Money sent — the bank sends the transfer and we share the SWIFT copy or payment receipt.

Common questions

Do you charge a fee for arranging a transfer?

No. You pay only the partner bank or platform charges, GST and any TCS, all shown before you pay. We receive a referral fee from the partner.

Which partner will handle my transfer?

It depends on the purpose. Student payments: Prithvi Exchange (India) Limited or Thomas Cook (India) Limited — we confirm which before you pay, or a student forex card through Prithvi Exchange (India) Limited (Thomas Cook forex card or ICICI Bank forex card). Family maintenance: RBL Bank Ltd or Thomas Cook (India) Limited — we confirm which before you pay. Gifts: RBL Bank Ltd. Demand drafts: Prithvi Exchange (India) Limited. We confirm the partner on your order before you pay.

Can I get a foreign currency demand draft?

Yes — for institutions or embassies that ask for a draft. It is issued through Prithvi Exchange (India) Limited; share the payee name and city, and we confirm the charges first.

Can I pay a GIC or a German blocked account?

Yes. Share the instruction letter from the GIC bank or blocked-account provider; we arrange the payment through the bank portal or a bank transfer.

How long does a transfer take?

Documents handed to the bank branch before 2 pm are processed the same working day, and the SWIFT copy is shared the next working day. Credit to the beneficiary then depends on the receiving bank.

What about tax collected at source?

TCS depends on the purpose, the amount and your LRS remittances earlier in the financial year. It is shown in your quote before you pay, appears in your annual tax statement, and can be claimed against your income tax.

Is there a limit?

Resident individuals can remit up to USD 2,50,000 per financial year under LRS, across all banks and money changers combined.
