Losing a card is stressful, but a prepaid forex card is one of the safest things to lose: your money is in the account, not in the plastic.
1. Block it immediately
Call the card issuer's 24×7 helpline printed in your card kit, or block it in the issuer's app. Once blocked, nobody can use the balance.
2. Use your backup
This is why we suggest carrying a little cash and, if you have one, a second card — many issuers provide a spare card in the kit. Keep it in a different bag.
3. Ask for a replacement or emergency cash
Most issuers can send a replacement card or arrange emergency cash abroad for a fee. Ask what is available in the country you are in.
4. Tell us
Call or WhatsApp GoRemit with your name and the last 4 digits of the card. We help you with the issuer and, if needed, move the balance to a replacement card.
Never share the card PIN, CVV or an OTP with anyone — not even someone claiming to be from the bank or from GoRemit.
