Foreign exchange is sold only to a person who is travelling or has a permitted purpose, after KYC. Keep these ready — as clear photos or PDFs — before you book.
Everyone
- Passport — the photo page and the address page.
- PAN card — PAN is compulsory for every forex purchase.
- Aadhaar — front and back (a masked Aadhaar is fine).
For travel forex (notes and card)
- Visa, e-visa or travel authorisation, if the country needs one.
- Air ticket for the full journey — outward and return, all sectors.
- Payment from the traveller's own bank account.
Students
- Admission letter — I-20 (USA), CAS (UK), CoE (Australia) or the offer letter.
- Student visa, once issued. For fee transfers: the fee invoice.
Business trips
- A request letter on the company's letterhead and the company's KYC (once). See business travel forex.
When you collect
The traveller must come in person, or receive the delivery in person, with the original documents. We check them against the copies before handing over notes or a card.
Uploading is safe: documents are encrypted and stamped with your order reference so a copy cannot be misused. Please don't send them over WhatsApp or e-mail.
