Platforms we handle
Flywire
Used by universities in the USA, UK, Canada, Australia and many other countries.
What you do: Log in to the payment page from your university, choose India as the country you pay from and bank transfer in rupees. Flywire gives you a payment reference and instructions.
Convera
Convera GlobalPay for Students — used by universities in the UK, Canada, Australia and the USA.
What you do: Start the payment on your university's Convera page, choose India and Indian rupees, and download the payment instructions with the reference.
CIBC International Student Pay
Used mainly by Canadian colleges and universities, and some in the USA.
What you do: Start on your institution's CIBC page, choose India and rupees. The rate is held only for a short time, so tell us before you start.
TransferMate
TransferMate Education — used by universities in the USA, UK, Ireland and Europe.
What you do: Create the payment on your university's TransferMate page and download the instructions with the reference number.
PayMyTuition
Used by universities and colleges in the USA and Canada.
What you do: Start the payment on PayMyTuition from your university's page, choose India, and keep the payment instructions with the reference.
ICICI Bank UniFee
ICICI Bank's fee payment service, used by some colleges and universities abroad.
What you do: Start from your institution's UniFee link and keep the payment details it gives you.
Platform names belong to their owners. GoRemit is not part of these platforms; we arrange your payment to them from India.
How it works
- Start the payment on your university's platform page and download the payment instructions (amount, reference, beneficiary bank details).
- Book with us and upload the instructions, the student's passport and admission letter, and the payer's PAN.
- We check everything and confirm the full cost in rupees — rate, charges, GST and TCS.
- The payment is sent to the platform by Prithvi Exchange (India) Limited or Thomas Cook (India) Limited — we confirm which before you pay. You pay the partner directly from your own bank account and sign Form A2; the money never passes through GoRemit.
- We send you the remittance proof to upload on the platform. The platform confirms to the university when the money reaches it.
Get it right first time
- Quote the platform's reference exactly. Without it the platform cannot match your money to the student.
- Pay the exact amount on the instructions, before the date shown. Platform rates and instructions expire — late payments may be returned or re-converted.
- The payer must be the student or a close relative, paying from their own account — the same person whose PAN is on Form A2.
- Paid from an education loan? The loan is usually disbursed by your lender; tell us so we don't collect TCS by mistake.
TCS
The same rules as any education payment: no TCS from an eligible education loan; from your own funds, nil up to ₹10 lakh of LRS in the financial year and 2% above it, credited to the payer's PAN. See the TCS calculator.
Common questions
My university only accepts Flywire (or another platform). Can you still help?
Yes. You start the payment on the platform, send us the instructions, and we arrange the transfer from India through our authorised partner.
Is it cheaper to pay through the platform?
Not always. Compare the platform's rupee price with our quote before you pay — we show the full cost first.
How long until the university sees the payment?
Usually two to five working days after the money is sent, depending on the platform.
